2016 – David Wilson

David is co-founder and CEO of Asimmetric, the Cape Town-based Internet quality company. Asimmetric helps IT managers and service providers measure and improve their WiFi networks. It is the first African startup backed by PCH’s Highway1, the top hardware accelerator program, based in San Francisco. Before diving into entrepreneurship, David spent seven years at Accenture, and Delta Partners, the leading telecoms-focused management consulting company in emerging markets. He worked with C-level telecoms executives on corporate and network strategy at companies such as STC, Telkom, Cell C, Vodacom, MTN, and others in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. David loves travel, movies, data, and design; in 2015, Phaidon published a map he created using South African population data in the best seller “Map: Exploring the World”.
